HO, HO, HO...

Vacation started December 11th...we drove the many hours to Texas and arrived on the 13th. We were so excited to see our family and friends!! Sophie had SEVERAL Santa visits at multiple locations and received so many gifts she can't decided what to play with first. She had so much fun playing with her Uncles, Aunts and Cousins I'm not sure how she is going to react when we get back home!! It'll be very quiet and lonely after being gone for 25 days!

Christmas morning

Merry Christmas!!

Aunt Jen and I made LOTS of yummy holiday treats and Sophie LOVED being the taste tester of the batter. She knew exactly what was in those bowls by the end of the day and people who know her will understand when I say her "pointer finger" was going CRAZY!!

Lots of SNOW came down in Lubbock and it was very COLD!! Sophie liked watching her uncles slide down the snow mound and tried to catch snow flakes in her hand.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!!!! Love.

Ten Months...

Gee whiz...10 months old today!! Sophie is still sick and we were just informed by her doctor that she has a left ear infection and a cold...ICKY!! Poor thing is so tired from lack of sleep and can barely breathe with all those boogies. Doc says her top gums are very swollen too, so teething can also be causing some pain. Kid can't get a break this week!!

On a lighter note...She weighs 19 pounds and learned to drink from a STRAW!!! No crawling but she is a rolling champ and can still get to whatever she sets her eyes on, only it takes her a little longer. She's seen her first snow fallings in Dallas yesterday morning and LOVES Christmas lights! We'll definitely drive her around the neighborhood soon to check out all the houses with lights. CHRISTMAS count down has begun and were already preparing for our L-O-N-G drive back to Texas [December 11th] for the remainder of the year. BE ADVISED...The LEARY'S are coming to TEXAS, again!!! Looking forward to seeing all our family and friends!!!

My new cleaning lady...

Take care everyone reading and have a great weekend! Love.

Gobble, Gobble...

We're finally home after a very long week back in TEXAS!! Had a fabulous time visiting with family and eating LARGE portions of some great food. Sophie spent many hours playing with her cousins Reagan and Mason, and totally took to the Thanksgiving tradition of eating until you're sick. She was a bottomless-pit eating from the time we got on the plane until we landed back home.

Little Peanut

Story time with Daddy [or Mikey]

Cute Mason Man

Super cool Reagan replica

Meet up with the Percival Family, in Arlington Tuesday evening, only to eat more delicious food. [Combined total weight of the Leary peeps is probably somewhere around 500lbs.] Sophie and I also got to meet sweet little Gracie who shared her toys so nicely. And who knows...maybe we'll become neighbors someday...LOL!!

Unfortunately, Sophie Monster has come down with a cold or really bad allergies...her FIRST sickness in her whole ten months of living. So sad, she looks terrible with her runny nose and saggy eyes but she's such a trooper...always in good spirits, smiling and laughing. Doc visit tomorrow...to be continued...

Hope everyone reading had a HAPPY THANKSGIVING. Special thanks to our family and friends for letting us bunk up in their homes while we were visiting. Love, love, love.

Tis the Season...

The Raleigh Christmas Parade kicked off the holiday season this morning. Much larger show than expected and was great fun seeing old vintage cars and trucks, huge balloons, marching bands, all kinds of floats and cartoon characters. Sophie was all bundled with her leaf, yes a LEAF, in tow. [she found a fallen leaf and DID NOT want to "leaf it behind"...haha...okay, okay...I never claimed to be a comedian..SHEESH!] Anywho - we stayed for nearly two hours and finally felt cold enough to head back to the truck to thaw. Sophie had a BLAST!

Happy Weekend to everyone reading!! Love.

GO RED RAIDERS!!!

Little Update...

Fabulous check-up today at Dr. Tabrizi's office. Sophie is as healthy as can be weighing in at 18.6 lbs and 27 inches long. No vaccines today either so she was a happy camper! Busy week with Rammie in town last week...lots of laughing, talking and SHOPPING! [Thanks again!!!]

Road trip to see GGB in New Bern and a visit to the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium. The river otters and stingrays put on a big show and Miss Sophie LOVED to watch.

A long time "Doumeng Family Tradition" says whomever spots the first tooth must buy a new pair of shoes for the youngster...Mom was the culprit in Sophie's cause...check out her new Converse. SWEET!

[Oh Yeah - WOO-HOO YANKEES!!!]

Hope everyone reading has a great week. Love.

Nine Months...

Sophie is NINE months old! Such a big girl too...she loves to sing and dance and will start whenever/wherever music is playing. She tries so hard to crawl but looks more like an inch worm, scooting around on her back and belly. She likes to point out your face features [nose, eyes, lips and teeth] and can wave "Bye-Bye" and "Hi". She could probably eat a whole bag [along with her Daddy] of strawberry yogurt melts...with that being said we've started to brush her two teeth and gums every morning and night...she absolutely LOVES to brush her teeth!!!

Umm...no weigh-ins yet...she'll go to her 9 month checkup soon so we'll see then! She's taking a liking to her new "BIG GIRL" seat in the car. I'm probably the worst parent in the world but she was just ready to see the world...from a front view.

We're awaiting a visit from "Rammie" today! She's visiting Miss Sophie until SUNDAY!! YIPPEE! Then, we're off to Breckenridge for Thanksgiving, later this month. We're still praying for Papa John and hope he continues to make a FULL RECOVERY! See you soon Papa John!! We love you!

Have a great week!! Happy November!! Love, love, love!

GO YANKEES!!!!!!
