Sophie's Weekend...

CRITTERFEST!! at the Science Spectrum was this weekend and Sophie has been looking forward to this event all week. She had an unbelievable time looking at all the zoo animals, watching and petting what animals she could. She was so incredibly brave and rode on a camel AND an elephant all by herself. She was so thrilled with herself she talked about it all weekend.

[Feeding goats]

[Camel Ride]

[In line for Elephant Ride]

[Yup, there's our tiny little Peanut at the front!!]

We took a lunch break and then decided to nap before heading back to watch the Big Cat Tiger Show and the Crocodile Encounters show. She loved the tigers and was amazed at how big they actually are in real life. She quickly made us aware that those tigers were "her friends" and would laugh at all the tricks they would do. I must admit I don't think I've ever been so close to a tiger in my life...such beautiful animals or "tute" as Sophie says.

Then, Sunday we took her to her very FIRST movie at the theater to see Cars 2. Had she not eaten half the bag of popcorn and several packs of smarties [before the movie started] we would have been better off. She watched roughly an hour of the movie before her stomach started to hurt, so we were in and out of the movie up until it ended. Still fun...we just know better for next time...NO POPCORN!!

Thanks to Grandma for coming to visit this weekend. We much enjoyed seeing you and hanging out by the pool to beat the heat!! And, thanks to Uncle Johnny and Uncle Davy for joining us at Cars 2!!

Hope everyone reading had a great weekend. Love, love, love!

Lopez Shower...

Phew...the hosting of my first baby shower. I think it went pretty well...afterall, only the best can be provided for my SISTER!! Not to mention this will be their very first BABY! Took some pictures of things I "created" for the shower...Enjoy!

Okay, I didn't create this gorgeous girl but had to start with a picture of the cutest pregnant person!!

Here's the Wishes & Advice table where all the guests got to make special wishes and give advice to Baby Joseph.

The photo clothes line. Thanks to Mom and Diane for all the great pictures of Jen and Chachie!! So cute but SO FUNNY to see them as little people. LOL!

My go at Cake Pops. Of course, my brain didn't think to take a picture of the entire food table BEFORE we all dug in. UGH!

And the actual clothes line.

Jen this was so fun for me to create for you. You and Chachie are going to be the best parents!! We wish you the best of luck and anticipate the arrival of our newest NEPHEW [and cousin]. Now get busy woman...you only have a few WEEKS!!!!

Love you both.

Sophie's Latest...

Sophie, Sophie...gosh, this girl is so BIG. Mike and I can hardly believe [as I've said before] where the time goes. It's hard, at this point, to keep up with all the "new's" since she is so active. She learns something new on a daily basis so this post I figured I would [try] to list as much "new" as possible...

1. She's almost got the entire alphabet nailed
2. And numbers 1-20...almost
3. Loves the word "No!"
4. Loves to watch her birdies and squirrels chase each other at breakfast time

5. Still not interested in the potty
6. Loves jelly's [shoes]
7. Likes to swim

8. New phrase..."Don't want to!!"
9. Wednesday is her favorite day [Storytime at B&N then playtime with friends]
10. LOVES to dance and sing [especially with Daddy]
11. Can't wait for sister Charlie to arrive
12. LOVES books
13. Likes ladybugs, real and pretend ones she makes up that crawl on her finger
14. LOVES to be outside

15. Still a total animal lover
16. Can carry on the best [and cutest] conversations with full animation

17. Has taken a recent liking to Where's Waldo?

[Playing Where's Waldo on my iPhone]

18. Now needs to use a "Big Girl Cup"
19. Loves to play in her sandbox
20. Might actually be afraid of the dark...[she must sleep with a lamp, closet light and her tykelight on] :(

There...some of her many but I'll try to keep better track so I can update more often! She's just a bubbly little person who continues to make us laugh and smile. To be continued...

Lots of love.

Five Months Along...

I felt I needed to update you all on Charlie's progress. We've had a couple "check-up" visits since finding out she is PERFECT and I've taken Sophie along so she could experience the journey as well. Charlie's growing right on schedule [from belly measurements] and her heart-rate is a steady 145bpm. Sophie got to hear the heartbeat the last couple times and her eyes just light up. "Charee's in there??"

Her ears are fully developed by this point so Sophie reads to her all the time, even showing her the pictures. She kicks and punches all day long so I set out to make things more "real" for big sister and caught her when she was full of action. Sophie put her hand on my belly and not seconds later she kicked her hand. Needless to say, Sophie was amazed! She's a very proud big sister and can't understand why Charlie won't come out?!?!?! She wants to be the first to hold Charlie and promises to rock, feed and hug her.

If only Charlie knew how much she was loved already.

Hope everyone is doing well. Have a great weekend!

Love, love, love.

It's a GIRL!!!

Yup, another girl for the Leary family. Charlie Anne weighs 14 ounces at just 5 months. She's perfectly healthy and growing at a normal rate and she couldn't be more loved, already. Sophie has wanted a "sisser" since the moment we found out we were pregnant and she couldn't be happier. She LOVES looking at the sonogram pictures saying "so tute" and was so amazed when she got to hear the heartbeat for the first time.

Funny how each baby IS TOTALLY different. I've been so sick with this one and she moves around CONSTANTLY as if my lower abdomen were a pinball machine. If that's any indication of how she's going to be when she's brought into this world...YIKES! More to come...

Happy Monday!! Love.

Happy Easter!!...

I know...it's been many weeks and I haven't posted a single thing. I must admit this second baby has given me "heck" [no excuses] but I promise to be more on my game in the coming months.

So...where to start? Beginning of the month? Ok.

We started April off at Sesame Street Live. Sophie was very excited to see Elmo...until the lights went out and the characters started singing and dancing. She started pointing in the direction of the doors and said "Go Home!!". The first half she basically sat there then, intermission came and the second half was all singing and dancing, go figure.

On to Easter week...

Sophie had a super fun Easter Egg hunt last Wednesday with her little friends. So much fun and she LOVED playing with all the little peeps. Thanks again to the McQuerry Family for hosting such a fun evening!!

[Anna and Nate]

Can't have Easter without coloring eggs!! Thanks Aunt Jane for coming to color eggs with us Friday!

[Sophie's first colored egg]

And, lastly...EASTER!! Sophie was shocked to find the Easter Bunny had left her a bucket of goodies on the table where she eats breakfast. Then, he hid eggs all over the front yard!! Silly Easter Bunny...

[Sophie's very own butterfly in a jar...don't worry, it flys but only by batteries]

Hope there are enough pictures to update everyone, for now. Easter was a gorgeous day and we had a great time with all the family. We hope everyone reading had a fabulous holiday as well. Happy Birthday Pop-Pop!!

Love, love, love!!
