Sophie Crocker...

After browsing Hobby Lobby today Sophie found a Jolly Rancher Gummies "maker" she had to have. Frankly, they sounded yummy so I couldn't resist, myself, and bought the darn thing. I was going to hold out and make these treats with her tomorrow to give us something to do [rather than be out in the nasty heat] but she COULD NOT wait to make "Cannee".

They only took about 15-20 minutes total to make but she sure had a blast making AND EATING them up. Too fun even Daddy joined in!!

Love, love, love.

34 Weeks...

Today marks 34 weeks pregnant. Had a quick checkup today at the doctors office...127 pounds and my belly is measuring perfectly. Charlie was a bit excited today with a heart rate at 160bpm. I'll spare myself the embarrassment but to those of you who know...my fluids are just fine. Isn't pregnancy fun ladies?!?! UGH!

She's still as active as ever. She's much bigger now so things are a bit on the tighter side in there making it hurt worse when she kicks. Dr. Nonweiler-Parr says she's in perfect position to deliver...if only she was ready!!! Funny...the last two times we're had ultrasounds she has been face down. Little turd.

I believe everything is in place for her arrival. Nursery...check. Diapers...check. Clothes...check. Just need a newborn!!!

Lots of love to everyone reading. And thanks to my family for the "Sprinkle" of baby items you purchased for our little one. [And big sister too!!] We couldn't be more grateful for all the love and support each and everyone provides.

Have a great weekend!

Baby Lopez!!!

He's finally here!! Joseph John Lopez arrived at 3:16pm, July 11th. He weighed 8lbs 5oz and measured in at 19 1/2 inches long. Super cute little thing who looks just like his Daddy. Mommy and Baby are both doing great and went home today...Dad is, of course, a PROUD PAPA!!

Sophie couldn't wait to hold her new cousin. She was adorable to watch...holding his head and knowing how delicate this tiny new being was. Did I mention how sad it is to see how actually small a newborn is, only to see what they turn into 2 years later? Gosh...talk about pregnancy emotions. Our little girl is...well...a BIG GIRL. [sniffle, sniffle]

[My sister...still gorgeous as ever even after having a baby!]

Congratulations Chachie and Jen!! And welcome to this crazy world Little JJ!! We love you guys!

Thanks Julia for snapping this sweet pics...it was only natural that I forgot my camera. UGH!

Happy 4th of July!...

Fourth of July just wasn't the same without fireworks this year. We're still praying for RAIN!!!!

[Watching the Parade]

Happy Independence Day!!

Happy Birthday Sampson!!...

In an effort to figure out how old Sampson was going to be this year [we knew the day just not the year] we brought up his upcoming birthday and decided he was going to be EIGHT. Sophie heard the conversation, of course, and without a doubt she was already planning a party...two weeks in advance. Almost everyday she would ask if it was "Sammy's birthday yet". She was so excited to get him a present and blow out his candles.

[Sammy's Birthday "cake"]

Happy Birthday Sammy dog!!! Thanks Kelsi and Joe for humoring our little Princess by singing Happy Birthday...to our dog.

Sophie's Weekend...

CRITTERFEST!! at the Science Spectrum was this weekend and Sophie has been looking forward to this event all week. She had an unbelievable time looking at all the zoo animals, watching and petting what animals she could. She was so incredibly brave and rode on a camel AND an elephant all by herself. She was so thrilled with herself she talked about it all weekend.

[Feeding goats]

[Camel Ride]

[In line for Elephant Ride]

[Yup, there's our tiny little Peanut at the front!!]

We took a lunch break and then decided to nap before heading back to watch the Big Cat Tiger Show and the Crocodile Encounters show. She loved the tigers and was amazed at how big they actually are in real life. She quickly made us aware that those tigers were "her friends" and would laugh at all the tricks they would do. I must admit I don't think I've ever been so close to a tiger in my life...such beautiful animals or "tute" as Sophie says.

Then, Sunday we took her to her very FIRST movie at the theater to see Cars 2. Had she not eaten half the bag of popcorn and several packs of smarties [before the movie started] we would have been better off. She watched roughly an hour of the movie before her stomach started to hurt, so we were in and out of the movie up until it ended. Still fun...we just know better for next time...NO POPCORN!!

Thanks to Grandma for coming to visit this weekend. We much enjoyed seeing you and hanging out by the pool to beat the heat!! And, thanks to Uncle Johnny and Uncle Davy for joining us at Cars 2!!

Hope everyone reading had a great weekend. Love, love, love!

Lopez Shower...

Phew...the hosting of my first baby shower. I think it went pretty well...afterall, only the best can be provided for my SISTER!! Not to mention this will be their very first BABY! Took some pictures of things I "created" for the shower...Enjoy!

Okay, I didn't create this gorgeous girl but had to start with a picture of the cutest pregnant person!!

Here's the Wishes & Advice table where all the guests got to make special wishes and give advice to Baby Joseph.

The photo clothes line. Thanks to Mom and Diane for all the great pictures of Jen and Chachie!! So cute but SO FUNNY to see them as little people. LOL!

My go at Cake Pops. Of course, my brain didn't think to take a picture of the entire food table BEFORE we all dug in. UGH!

And the actual clothes line.

Jen this was so fun for me to create for you. You and Chachie are going to be the best parents!! We wish you the best of luck and anticipate the arrival of our newest NEPHEW [and cousin]. Now get busy woman...you only have a few WEEKS!!!!

Love you both.
