Easter is upon us and I think it’s safe to say; I am SUPER
FREAK when it comes to holidays. I
love, LOVE finding new ideas and creating traditions along with lasting
memories. And…seriously…the payoff
come morning time makes it that much more worth the planning and late nights.
So…Easter morning the girls woke to many trails in the
house. They started off at the
breakfast counter where an almost empty basket was left along with their
breakfast…complete with Bunny Tails [donut holes], OJ and yogurt with
sprinkles. The basket housed a
single egg which started their Easter Basket Scavenger Hunt.
Each egg had a picture clue with a treat/prize that lead to
the next egg. And leading up to each egg the Bunny left a "mess" with paw prints, jellybeans and mini play-doh. "Messy Marvin!"
Then, of course…
Baskets were found in their bathtub but once seen...picture taking was mere impossible.... |
We also planted jellybeans this year in the front yard. The girls were amazed to find that on
Easter morning jellybeans sprout LOLLI’s!!! They couldn’t even wait…they had to open one
immediately. [The “Sugar Rush”
song from Wreck-It Ralph suddenly popped in my head]
The girls then hunted eggs in the backyard with friends, Valerie and Evan.
We enjoyed lunch with our friends then headed to The Flores
house for Easter activities. The
kids painted ceramic eggs and colored hard boiled ones. [Note to self…coloring eggs with
shaving cream and food coloring is SUPER FUN but BEWARE…food coloring stains
tiny hands, HOT PINK.]
Hope everyone had a fantastic day.
Happy Easter!
