Twenty-Three Months...

Yet another month has gone by and the TWO's are approaching quickly. Let's face it...I've said it before...Sophie is super SASSY. She would love, LOVE to wear a tutu everyday. Chapstick...she can never have too many and we can claim she has the most moisturized lips known to toddlers. Necklaces, bracelets, hair clips...

She loves to look at pictures and videos of herself. Recently figured out how to spit or do "bubbles" and cracks herself up as she's doing it. [lovely] Likes to run and watch her feet as she scurries along. Loves to serve "coppee" [coffee] and "apu-deuce" [apple juice] from her new play kitchen. [Thanks Pop-Pop!!]

Sophie loves to be outside. Her play house in the backyard is a favorite and she would stay outside all day long if we let her. She likes to swing and play ball. She likes to help you in any way possible. Feeding the animals is now her chore [with a bit of help from Dah or Mama] and she's so proud of her job well done. She's learning the alphabet, numbers and colors. Loves yogurt.

So...next month a TWO year old!!! [sigh]

Have a great week!! Love, love, love.

Happy New Year!!!...

What fun we are...we watched Coraline, ate snacks by a perfect fire and were in bed by 10:30pm. WooHoo!!! [Hey, we need lots of rest to start our new year off right, eh?]

So...what was your New Year's resolution?

Have a FABULOUS year in 2011!!

Lots of love!

Merry Christmas!!!...

I don't know how it happens but for some reason Christmas season [every year] is so incredibly busy for us. We started off to Midland Thursday evening to celebrate Christmas Eve with the Leary crew. Sophie had so much fun playing with all the little ones and of course...OPENING PRESENTS!! We stuffed our faces with quail breakfast the morning of Christmas Eve at Grumps and Memaw's...ate lunch and exchanged gifts with Grandma, Papa John, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Sonja, Reagan and Mason...then ate AGAIN and did the Leary Christmas Eve gift exchange. You'd think Sophie was "gifted-out" at this point but she was still patiently awaiting Santa's "pesants".

Drove home Christmas Eve evening to prepare for Santa's arrival. Mike and I woke early Christmas morning and nearly had to wait two hours for our crashed out little one to wake up. She finally woke at 9am...SHEESH! It was worth the wait though to see her open all her presents with a huge smile!

[Sophie's super awesome kitchen her Pop-Pop made]

Late lunch of baked ziti is tradition...so we headed to Wilson for the Wied family's yummy food. Sophie got to meet baby Selma, who is adorable, and visit with all my family.

Then...it was off to Rammie and Rampa's for more Christmas presents. We ate [yes, again] chicken and dumplings [YUMMO] and all Mom's baked goodies. Sophie scored big with more presents from her grandparents and great grandma. GOOD HEAVENS!

THEN...Sunday we headed out to my Dad's to celebrate our Christmas stocking exchange. YUP...ate some more. [by now we are totally fat and disguising but couldn't be happier] Sophie, of course, opened more presents from Chachie and Jen, Grandpa and Grandma, Mike-Mike and Davy and even my Aunt Kim.

We can't thank everyone enough for all the awesome gifts this year. Sophie is having a terrible time trying to figure out what to play with first but is busy throughout the entire day, nonetheless. What a great Christmas!!! Hope yours was as amazing as ours!

Merry Christmas everyone!!

Love.
