Happy Halloween!!!...

Last night we painted our pumpkins [and ourselves...Daddy painted Charlie by accident] in hopes no one would smash these. Why is it so fun to smash pumpkins?? I mean, come on people...get a hold of yourself!! At least wait until AFTER Halloween to express your anger.

Sophie had been waiting weeks to put on her costume and go trick-or-treating and the day finally came. So after plenty of picture taking we set out to snag some treats!!

Thanks to all our family for walking the streets with our little Clown [and ladybug]. Sophie had so much fun and sat on the kitchen floor [with her Daddy] after we were done to see what she wanted to eat first. Yeah...we were up for awhile with our sweet tooth. And Charlie...well, she was happy to be completely bundled in the stroller. No complains from her...our sweet little bug.

Ahhh...the holidays are approaching! LOVE this season!!

Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin Trail...

Halloween is right around the corner so to get into proper mode we walked our first ever pumpkin trail. With over a thousand carved pumpkins we walked through the trail to look at all the unique designs. Sophie had so much fun pointing out all the spiders and kitty cats...even finding a Lightning McQueen!! Charlie, of course, slept but maybe next year we can donate our own pumpkins to the trail.

Hope everyone is gearing up for Halloween!!

Go TEXAS RANGERS!!!

Have a great weekend!! Love.

The Corn Maize...

The corn maze is done every year here in Lubbock but this was the first year we actually went together and as a family. The Midland Leary family joined us and we had so much fun trying to figure out which way to go. We got lost a few times and got so incredibly hot we called it quits when we took a half mark break.

Here's the maize from above...

After cold waters and snow cones the girls took a hay ride with their Daddy's to the pumpkin patch. They each picked out pumpkins for themselves and one for their younger sibling. It was a good day and it got us all in HOLIDAY mode!

Two Months...

Yes, yes...it's been awhile since my last post of Charlie. It's taken me that long to adjust to being a family of four and somewhere in between finding enough time to take pictures and type out what's new in our world. [insert deep breath here]

So...Charlie, Charlie. Well, after several weeks of pure pain in this girls life I think we've come to the conclusion that our little Monkey is allergic to regular formula. We tried the advanced, the sensitive, then soy and still no change...finally ALIMENTUM. The smell alone is atrocious but, after only a few weeks, it seems she might actually be taking to this new formula better. She still spits-up multiple times a day but at least the "explosions" have been cut literally to one a day rather than 10 [no joke]. We're hoping she will soon be 100%...our poor little girl.

On the flip side, she did gain a couple LB's weighing 10 pounds 12 ounces and looks a lot healthier with her chunky cheeks. She's 22 1/2 inches long. She's the sweetest most laid back baby and likes to be held on your chest so she can look up at you. She's not really a sleepier during the day and loves to just look around. I'm pretty sure she's quite fond of her sister...so much so she'll turn her head completely around to the sound of Sophie's voice. She's getting brave holding her head up on her own and she's so much more active moving her arms and kicking her legs. She loves to be snuggled. Finds a way to position her face under the blankets to sleep. Likes to suck on her fingers. And loves being outside. Car rides are great for naps as are stroller rides. And she's a TALKER, already.

Oh and...we're pretty sure we'll have another fiery redhead on our hands.

Lastly, I finally caught a SMILE on my phone the other day! So cute!

Love, love, love.

The Fair...

We took Sophie to the South Plains Fair this year and she loved it. Started off watching the Monkey Show with several different monkey's being silly, some of which have been in movies. They would show off and Sophie thought they were hysterical...laughing all while eating her corny dog.

[Daphne stealing the "Boss" hat...]

We looked at all the animals...cows, rabbits, camels, watched the dog races [so funny btw] then caught a pony ride. Had another corny dog then it was off to play games. All the crazy carnies were out but they didn't scare off this girl...she was determined to win a prize. So a few bucks later...Mike paid off the carnie for a stuffed toy and called it quits with the games. Sophie picked an orange turtle that she LOVED so much so she had to sleep with it that night.

[Waiting for dog race to start with Daddy and Pa...]

[The tiny orange turtle...]

After that she rode the carousel with her Daddy then danced to all the surrounding music.

[Tickets in hand scouting out all the rides...]

Overall...three hours of pure fun for our little tyke...and Charlie slept the ENTIRE trip. She actually loves to be in the stroller and all the noise didn't bother her a bit.

Hope everyone is having a great week! Love!
