One Year Check-up...

Perfectly healthy...well, almost. Sophie has another ear infection and ROSEOLA!! Icky!! She's feeling much better now and is back to her old self...playing with her mounds of toys, stealing Sampson's toys and poking at Owen's teeth. She weighs only 20lbs and is 27 1/2 inches long. A petite little thing but her Doc thinks she might hit a growth spurt soon. First round of shots were given [the other two will be given at 15 months] and a CBC to check her blood count. Of course, this part of any doctors visit is least fun but she was all smiles when I pulled out a Nilla Wafer. POOF...No more tears! [for me too!]

No new major milestones to report since last post. We are working on sign language and have been for about a week. So far Sophie has learned the signs for "more, food, please and finished". She's got another tooth coming in so the total count is up to EIGHT already!! But don't go sticking your finger in her mouth to feel around for more...you may not get your finger back!! OUCH!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Love.

Happy Birthday!!!...

Princess Sophie turns ONE YEAR OLD!!!

Mickey CD

She opened lots of presents from all her family and friends. Then, of course, DEMOLISHED a cupcake with lots of icing!! Our fellow LUBBOCK-ite friends helped sing and blow out her candle. Thanks to everyone for calling to wish her a Happy Birthday and bringing/sending all the wonderful gifts. We can't thank everyone enough for all you do to help make the day of our little girl.

Lots of love to everyone reading and thanks again to The Crawford Family for celebrating with us!! Lastly...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOPHIE LEIGH!!!

12 Months...

Sheesh...One year old!!! Mike and I can hardly believe this day is actually here. Sophie is just a true blessing in our lives and she makes us smile everyday. It's so hard not to love this child more and more everyday.

So let's see...Sophie just cut her 7th tooth today [or yesterday but I noticed this afternoon]. She LOVES bread, cheese, yogurt and bananas. Not sure how much she weighs these days but we'll find out next Wednesday at her year check-up so I'll get back on that one. Still a dancing queen who loves to head-bang and wave her arms in the air. She's a crawling monster and has recently discovered how to make it up the stairs!! [Note to self...if you hear an evil laugh...run for the stairs because she's probably half way to the top!!]

She loves to make you laugh in any way possible and loves watching Owen chase his mice around the house. She can pull up on anything and everything. She's even been pretty brave hanging on with only one hand!!! When reading books she must be the "page-turner" and her stuffed animals get the sweetest "lovies" I've ever seen!! She loves to give me and Mike hugs and will snuggle up to watch her favorite show, The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Wow...one year down with the sweetest and most beautiful little person!! Many more years to come and we can't wait!!

Love, love, love!!!
